Inspirational leadership took center stage today as Dr. Lillian Schumacher, President of Tiffin University, challenged the Seneca County CEO students to lead with vision, values, and purpose.
Dr. Schumacher shared her journey to the presidency and her career in management and leadership, walking students through the defining chapters of her leadership story—establishing a shared vision grounded in strong principles, navigating challenges with resilience, setting goals for continuous growth, and embracing transformation by leaving an organization better than you found it. She closed with powerful advice on handling stress and adversity: focus on what you can control and stay anchored in what drives you.
Dr. Tom Marben, Dean of the School of Business at TU highlighted TU’s academic programs, the real-world expertise of its faculty, and the many experiential learning opportunities available to students. CEO participants also heard from current senior, Sydney Deckert, and junior, Twain Huynh, who shared insights into the hands-on experience they are gaining through TU’s Innovation Fellowship program.
An inspiring morning investing in the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders!
